U.S. Congress Honors Fela Kuti

Late Afrobeat Legend, Fela Kuti, has received a posthumous recognition from the United States Congress.

The recognition was presented by United States Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee of the 18th Congressional District of Texas, U.S.A.

Fela Kuti’s son, Seun Kuti, shared the picture of the recognition on Instagram, and stated, “Nigerian House of Assembly, over to you!! #lifeondroad. We are truly humbled. We thank the City of Houston and the United States Congress. Special thanks to everyone in Houston who made it happen and Congresswoman Jackson.”
