Pres. Kagame Welcomes Davido: Davido Performs At Rwanda’s 20th Liberation Day Celebration (VIDEOS)

President Paul Kagame and Davido shares a handshake at Kigali International Airport, Rwanda.

Rwanda celebrated the 20th anniversary of its liberation on Friday, July 4, 2014 at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda.

Nigerian musician, Davido, performed at the event and was greeted at Kigali International Airport by President Paul Kagame.

Leaders present at the event, among others, were Tedros Adhanom, Youweri Museveni, Uhuru Kenyata, Salva Kiir, and Prosper Mbazombaza.

It can be noted that the celebration held on July 4, 2014 represented the official closing of the three-month mourning period of the genocide that claimed the lives of more than 800,000 Tutsis and Hutus in a killing that lasted for over 100 days in 1994.
