Governor Suntai of Taraba state leaving an aircraft with help after his recent arrival in Nigeria.

Taraba state lawmakers met with Governor Suntai of Taraba state on wednesday after his return from the United States where he was receiving treatment for injuries sustained during a small aircraft accident he was involved in.

Speaker of the Taraba state house of assembly released a press statement reaffrirming that Alhaji Garba Umar is still the acting Governor of Taraba state.

Governor Danbaba Suntai on Wednesday supposedly dissolved the executive cabinet of Taraba state sparing only his senior special assistants. He also named a new Secretary to the State Government and Chief of Staff.

In the press statement below, Speaker Tsokwa, suggested that his visit to Governor Suntai revealed it was doubtful that Governor Suntai, because of the condition of his health, approved the letter sent to the state house of assembly affirming he was ready to resume work as governor of Taraba state.
