The Enigmatic daughter of the former governor Of Oyo state is being heard by the masses in Ibadan and has been spotted in private meetings with Governors, Senators, Ministers, Kings and even former President Obasanjo. She is ripping the state’s issues on social media and the streets of Oyo state vowing to bring the state to healthy standards. With a good dose of noise and profanity, Nigerians seem to be waking up and are saying this is the kind of tough leadership needed.
Below, is the interview Nigerians Saving Nigerians conducted with Ms. Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo on December 28, 2012.
Nigerians Saving Nigerians: How were you received in Nigeria after your long period of stay overseas
Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo: I already returned to Nigeria in 2006 after 29 years and 10 months in America until the violence at media outlets killing colleagues during elections in 2007 in Ibadan. I fled to Canada with my kids on my way to the United States and filed asylum there and stayed. I just received a fake welcome because I was deported. I don’t trust many Nigerians in Nigeria! I had tons of interview requests and did only one. Global Excellence.
Nigerians Saving Nigerians: Has it been easy adjusting to life in Nigeria?
Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo: No, you can never adjust to Nigeria after spending 35 years in North America
Nigerians Saving Nigerians: Do you currently have a day job in Nigeria?
Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo: I do what I used to do in Canada. I am the editor of the most popular music website in North America. HipHossip.com and @HipHossip on twitter and all social media
Nigerians Saving Nigerians: Have you stopped your supposed ‘bashing’ of igbos now that you are in Nigeria?
Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo: I never bashed Igbos. I correct and criticize their bad behaviour in US and Canada. Killing wives, drug trafficking, financial fraud, immigration fraud and more. theirs were higher than any other tribe! I attended Imo day in my city and all the Igbos I met already read about me online and told me to ignore the “online Igbos” calling them frauds that do not represent the tribe. Enough said!
Nigerians Saving Nigerians: Has your dad’s influence helped you since arriving Nigeria from Canada?
Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo: Of course, my father is a high ranking powerful politician. People are jealous of that and I care less. He has never stolen public funds. We have no land in Lagos or Abuja or any house overseas. My dad can get me any job I want. I am highly talented with three US degrees in Pharmacy, Journalism, and Public Relations. However I am resting for one year for now.
Nigerians Saving Nigerians: Why were you deported from Canada?
Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo: Canada said Nigeria is no longer dangerous for Journalists which is what I claimed. After five years of a work permit, free medical care and a 5 years temporary visa, they decided not to renew mine. The Canadian media cited that I ruffled the feathers of the Conservative party of PM Harper by trying to block the scrapping of the gun registry. The Toronto Police spoke about me in all the national papers. I supported their fallen officers killed by guns too and helped them make 19 arrests, 6 convictions and take 19 guns off the streets in my Gun Submit without prosecution.
Nigerians Saving Nigerians: Why are you running for a Senate seat representing Oyo state in the federal senate of Nigeria
Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo: Oyo state is the pioneer of everything in Nigeria and before I become the first female Senator here, we are also the pioneer of blackouts, no water for ten months in the taps, dirty streets and no jobs. I want to toughen the laws and straighten the people especially youth. Oyo youth are the laziest! They don’t like me saying that but they want everything free.
Nigerians Saving Nigerians: What influenced you to start a campaign for a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo: My childhood friend Gbemi Saraki, her father Late Dr Sola Saraki and brother Bukola. Our Governor now used to be Senator Ajimobi. Besides them I have studied the constitution of Nigeria with my dad who was a member of CONFAB and the Constituent Assembly. The laws are there but not enforced. Too much corruption and the man on the street does not even know the constitution. So I want to rip shady politicians and get the laws enforced.
Nigerians Saving Nigerians: Do you have the wit to survive politically in Nigeria?
Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo: Of course I will. Dog eat Dog! You might as well call me a female thug! I have faced several assassins in Canada. I am from Molete, bring it on! I don’t tolerate nonsense and my hashtag on twitter is #Amalakemistry. My hometown delicacy starts with hot water and I can get Oyo state people out of hot water! People can see all my pages at http://kemiforsenate.tumblr.com/
Nigerians Saving Nigerians: Describe your daily routine in Nigeria?
Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo: Wake up, go online all day and served my meals three times daily in my comfortable office. My blog updated, my twitter accounts are many @Snitchlady @HipHossip @KemiForsenate @StopViolenceNg @CopGossip @MyGlobalTeen. I get paid to tweet and joined twitter in 2007 when it started. Once a week I go out on the streets to campaign to the masses. My grassroots campaign attracts huge crowds. Always videotaped and will be on my YouTube channel soon. I also advocate for the Nigerian Police. They all know me. I drop off apples weekly. They don’t like donuts here.
Nigerians Saving Nigerians: Former governor of Oyo state, Adebayo Alao-Akala stated to reporters on Tuesday at his Ogbomoso residence “Those defecting are political jobbers. Take a look at the pedigree of such people and you will be able to determine their substance. They are parasites; they always want to hold on to something. Anybody who thinks those people matter is just making a mistake. Olunloyo is just somebody who does not have pedigree. His problem is that he is consistently inconsistent.” what is your response to this statement uttered by Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala?
Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo: My dad is 77 years old and the democrats said the same about Ronald Reagan too. Hollywood actor turn governor of California and his non electoral value earned him America’s oldest elected President at 70. Akala is no longer relevant in Oyo politics. He has got an 11 Billion naira court case to face in 2013, 175 bank accounts he operated were allegedly closed by Ajimobi, the people are not happy with him and my ACN road show will prove to him that my father has followers. At the end of the day, Akala has no value, even his cosmetic value is gone.
