President Jonathan Order that Killers of Top Aide to Governor Oshiomhole be exposed; NSN take the Killing to an American Radio Program

President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered the Acting Inspector- General of Police, Muhammed Abubakar, to fish out the killers of Mr. Oyerinde Olaitan, the Principal Private Secretary to the Edo State governor.
Already, the police had offered a N10million reward to anyone with information that will lead to the arrest of the killers.
Olaitan was killed by unidentified gunmen in the early hours on Friday, at his residence in Benin, Edo State.
Jonathan gave the order during a one- day Presidential workshop on Power which was attended by some governors, including Adams Oshiomhole, at the Banquette Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Jonathan, while extending his heartfelt condolences to Oshiomhole said he has ordered the acting IGP to reopen all cases of political murders for thorough investigations.
“I have directed that cases of murders must be properly investigated in this country at the end of the day, we must know what happened; not just in Edo State, but other challenges that are facing us on a daily basis.”
The president also lamented the current security challenges facing the country.
Meanwhile, President Jonathan on Monday congratulated Mr. Francois Hollande, the President-elect of France, on his victory in Sunday’s run-off presidential election.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Dr. Reuben Abati, the president saluted the people of France for the success of the election.
He described the election as not only a triumph of democracy, but also a clear testimony to the maturity and age-long tradition of democracy in France.
The President said he looked forward to working with Hollande and his incoming government, to further strengthen the cordial and mutually-beneficial relations between Nigeria and France.
President Jonathan said he expected that under Hollande’s leadership, France would remain a strong supporter of global action to promote democracy, good governance and rapid socio-economic development in Africa.
He assured Hollande that Nigeria would continue to work with France in the quest for peace, political stability and prosperity in the ECOWAS, Africa and other under-developed nations of the world.
He wished Hollande “a very successful tenure in the service of the French people.”
