Armed Robbers Shoot Activist Olusegun Aremu Near Abuja – Sahara Reporters

Armed robbers today shot an activist, Olusegun Aremu, close to Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital territory while he was driving along the Abuja-Lokoja Express Way.

The incident occurred around Abaji. Mr. Aremu sustained several gunshot wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

His wife told SaharaReporters, that he is in stable condition but now in hospital undergoing surgery.

She said, “The bullets had broken some of his bones, and he is in a surgery room now because there are some bullets lodged in his body.”

On his twitter page, Mr. Aremu describes himself as an “advocate of good governance at all levels of government because our people deserve the best and not what we are experiencing.”
