Boko Haram: Soldiers set up roadblocks in Onitsha – PUNCH

Soldiers from the 302 Artillery Regiment and 44 Field Engineers, Onitsha, Anambra State have started stop-and-search on major roads leading to markets and churches in Onitsha.
The News Agency of Nigeria gathered that the soldiers were searching passersby who carried bags or other suspicious items.
Speaking on the development, the Commander of 302 Artillery Regiment, Brig.-Gen. J. Abuka, told newsmen on Monday in Onitsha that the soldiers were out to address a number of security issues.
“Their presence does not pose any challenge to law-abiding citizens,” Abuka said.
Anambra Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Emeka Chukwuemeka, said the presence of the soldiers and the stop-and-search were to complement police efforts in checking crime.
Chukwuemeka said that since there were no more police roadblocks, the soldiers drafted to the strategic roads would probably fill the gap.

Boko Haram should do the killing of other riligions and tribes only in the north bcos when they cross boarder to throw bombs or kill even a fly it will lead to another civil, tribal and riligious war againt in Nigeria. The northern leaders should let these know into their thin skulls. Nigeria as a nation is above all this mess that the Boko Haram is facing this nation with, the only problem that we South East and South South had is just the President that has no action in his credits. . .
