Forum for Justice and Human Rights Defense, FJHD, has urged Lagos State governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola, to grant clemency to Major Al-Mustapha and Mr. Sofolahan.
FJHD, in a statement by its National Coordinator, Mr. Oghenejabor Ikimi, noted that the trial which led to the said judgment took 13 years and three months.
The statement read: “The attention of members of the Forum for Justice and Human Rights Defense has been drawn to the recent judgment of an Ighosere High Court in Lagos State condemning Major Al-Mustapha and Mr. Sofolahan to die by hanging and we call on Governor Fashola to grant the duo clemency.”
