Boko Haram Appoints 4 Northern Leaders To Dialogue With FG – Leadership Newspapers

The dreaded Boko Haram sect may be considering the offer of dialogue by the federal government, LEADERSHIP gathered.

In a video released on Tuesday, the sect named some Northern leaders to negotiate with the federal government on its behalf. Those named were Sheik Abubakar Gero, Dr. Shettima Ali Monguno, and the former Governor of Yobe State, Alh Ali Bukar Ibrahim.

The fourth name listed was unclear. The sect said they trusted the mentioned persons to broker peace .

The tape which NTA claimed was delivered by an unidentified source featured two figures, fully masked in black. Only the voice of one was heard, while the other was silent.

“We here confirmed and accept the reported initiative of the President for a dialogue as a welcome development”, the speaker said.
