President Jonathan, Mercenaries, plan to sell Fuel Subsidy removal with propaganda

President Jonathan held a secret meeting in the Presidential Villa with largely fringe political parties on thursday night in order to seduce them into supporting and furthering his vastly unpopular fuel subsidy policy.
Former Senator and recently appointed special adviser on inter-party affairs, Ben Obi, hastily organized forty political party leaders to meet with President Jonathan, Vice President Namadi Sambo, Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, and the Minister of Planning.
Chairman of the African Liberation Party and Head of the Interparty Advisory Council (IPAC), Emmanuel Okereke, led the group of Political parties to the secret meeting.
Some of the other Political Party leaders present at the meeting were Secretary of IPAC and Chairman of the Republican Party of Nigeria, Mr. Okereke, Chairman of National Solidarity Democratic Party (NSDP), Mr. Udemba Chukwudelue, Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party, Felix Modebelu, Chairman of the Progressive Peoples Party, Mr. Damian Ogbonna, National secretary of the National Conscience Party (NCP), Yinusa Tanko, National Conscience Party (NCP) Vice Presidential Candidate, and Chairman of Nigeria Advanced Party (NAP), Mr. Ebenezer Oyetakin.
The meeting lasted for a couple of hours, with laser focus on strategizing the implementation of effectively publicized mass rallies in support of fuel subsidy across the nation.
Some of the Party leaders in attendance at the meeting came prepared with documents such as proposals and budgets that will aid the President in conducting effective mass rallies across the Nation.
President Jonathan advised some of the Political Party leaders about his plan to offer them political appointments after a planned January 2012 reorganization of officials serving under his administration.
Inspector General of Police, Hafiz Ringim, is scheduled for compulsory leave prior to his retirement in February 2012.
It can be noted that Political Party leaders at the meeting were given ‘courtesy’ sums of 100, 000 Naira each for the purpose of transportation expenses. Many of the Political Party leaders scorned at the 100, 000 Naira sum; one of the leaders notably stated, “100,000 Naira is not up to what i will give my girlfriend for weekend shopping,” What are you thinking?
