PDP Senator, Ali Ndume, and Others may be sponsors of Boko Haram

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Senator, currently representing Borno South senatorial district, Senator Ali Ndume, former Governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff, and former Ambassador to Sao Tome and Principe, Late Saidu Pindar are the alleged sponsors of Boko Haram.
Alleged spokesperson of Boko Haram, Ali Sanda Umar Konduga disclosed this revelation during interrogation by Nigeria’s State Police Officials (SSS).
During the interrogation, Konduga further confessed to be a member of ECOMOG, an armed political outfit sponsored by Ali Modu Sheriff.
ECOMOG is supposedly a gang of political thugs set up by Dr. Ali Modu Sheriff to further his political interests in Borno State; the relationship between ECOMOG and Dr. Ali Modu Sheriff grew stronger after Dr. Sheriff appointed one of the leaders of ECOMOG, Fuji Foi, as a Borno State Commissioner but their relationship was strained after Fuji Foi was relieved of his position as commissioner, then later killed.
ECOMOG believed the administration of Dr. Sheriff might have been complicit in the tragic turn of events of Fuji Foi. Late Ambassador Pindar stepped in to sponsor ECOMOG after ECOMOG’S relationship with Dr. Modu went sour.
Ambassador Pinda promised ECOMOG 10 million Naira ($60,000, 45,000 Euros) and was on his way to deliver half of the sum (5 million Naira) to ECOMOG when he got involved in an auto accident, which claimed his life.
Konduga stated during the interrogation “Senator Ali Ndume filled the vacuum left by Pindar. He was the one who composed threat text messages that we forwarded to prominent individuals, including Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State, Banbangida Aliyu of Niger State, Ambassador Dalhatu Tafida and Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. Before his death, Pindar encouraged us to send threat messages to the chairman of the Borno State Election Petition Tribunal, Justice Sambo Adamu and the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Bello Adoke. We questioned Ndume’s membership of the committee but he explained to us that he had no link with ex-Governor Sheriff and that he would supply us the telephone numbers of members of the Galtimari committee. He could not fulfil the promise before I was arrested”
Konduga said ECOMOG sent messages to threaten the prominent individuals because Late Ndume told them that former President, Obasanjo, was a firm supporter of Dr. Sheriff and the message was supposed to serve as a deterrent in order to influence Chief Obasanjo to withdraw his support for Dr. Sheriff. The text message sent by ECOMOG to the Tribunal Chairman was meant to frighten the chairman in order to sway judgement in favor of PDP in the Borno State Governorship Election Petition Case. The message to the Attorney General was to make him influence the tribunal in order for the PDP to be victorious in the court case. The messages to Governors Aliyu and Lamido was meant to serve as a condemnation of their verbal attacks on ECOMOG.
SSS Spokesperson, Marilyn Ogar, stated, “the suspect was arrested on November 3, 2011 by a joint security operation at Gwange area of Maiduguri.” What are you thinking?

It’s a serious allegation as it is treasonable . It needs to be investigated further, so that no rash action of trying him on suspicion is avoided

  2. Name says:

Well, it is very unfortunate dat dose who d younger generation look upon has failed us. U can emerging senator’s of federal republic of nigeria involving in a crime dat dey preach nd fight against. Is a shame 2 we all nd a credit 2 boko haram.

  3. Hassan Aliyu says:

Was that not the same Al-Zawahiri that the main stream Boko Haram disowned some months ago alleging that he was the spokesman of the SSS? Has the SSS interrogated Ali Ndume before going to the press with that alleged confession? There are so many questions begging for answers and the SSS is not being professional.

This securty people are trivialising this issue of Boko Haram. This organisation far outlived Ndume’s movement to PDP. It by far outlived late Pindar’s ambition of becoming a Deputy Governor under the ticket of the PDP (we do not have to whip the dead horse). Sheriff plus Sherrifs could be the masquerades that have alot to say about this nagging security palaver.

We have said severally that the raids, arrests, investigations and prosecutions have been one sided; only the down-trodden, masses and the vulnerables are investigated. There are untouchables, who are the brewers of troubles, browsers of connections (who log in and log out easily) – that are so highly connectted that when the curso is pointed at them even by forensic military intelligence tool, heads roll within the military. The good boys that have hand in the appointment of Galtimari as head of an inquiry panel whose findings were never more than the expected compromise. The good boys of three consecutive executive presidents: OBJ, YAR ‘ADUA & JONATHAN. The looters who knowing Nigeria so very well, always use their loots to buy-up and seal-off. Wait and see the magicians play!

These sacred cows must be dymystified. The ‘Ba sani ba sabo’ a Hausa term for ‘without fear or favor’ antidote must be applied to this nagging problem if we must be out of the woods. But that should not include giving a dog bad name in order to hang it. I rest my pen.

  5. hope peace will come to our people now. What about the one’s in jos are they also the sponsors?
