Goodluck Jonathan release statement after victory in Tribunal

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal located in Abuja affirmed President Goodluck Jonathan’s victory in the April 16 Election. The Five-man panel at the Presidential Election Tribunal, located in Abuja, led by Judge Kumai Akaas, reached a unanimous deciosion to uphold President Jonathan’s victory. Judge Akaas uttered this statement to express the decision of the Panel: “The petition fails in its entirety and is hereby dismissed,”
After the Ruling, Judge Akaas stated “”The Congress for Progressive Change’s election lawsuit failed to cast reasonable doubt on the results that handed victory to President Goodluck Jonathan about six months ago, “”The petitioner did not discharge the burden of proof, even on the balance of probability,”"
CPC Party Chairman, Tony Momoh, said CPC would appeal the decision and further stated, “We have judgment of conscience, judgment of people and judgment of God,”
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan welcomed the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal and released a statement signed by his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Dr. Reuben Abati, describing the judgement as a triumph for democracy and an affirmation of the sovereignty of the Nigerian People.
President Jonathan was declared winner in the April, 2011 Presidential Election after he won 22.4 million of the votes cast as compared to former Military ruler, Muhammadu Buhari, who won 12.2 million of the votes cast.
In May, CPC filed a Petition at the Presidnetial Election Petition Tribunal on behalf of former Military ruler, Muhammadu Buhari, to dispute the result of the Election. What are you thinking?
