A Group being sponsored by the African Centre for Media and Information Literacy filed a lawsuit against the Code of Conduct Bureau in a Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday because the Bureau supposedly denied the group access to the most recent asset declaration form submitted by President Goodluck Jonathan. The Group made two requests to the Bureau in the past couple of months concerning access to information about the President’s Assets, but the Bureau refused to provide the information requested. The information requested about the President, falls under information that can be provided to the public when requested, according to the Freedom of Information act signed into Law by President Goodluck Jonathan.
