LASU Students embark on planned protest

Lagos State University (LASU) Students started a planned protest on the campus of “LASU” this morning because of a planned 700% increase in tuition. Eyewitness reports from the campus of LASU claim Student Union leaders were seen encouraging fellow students to boycott classes in order to facilitatate the planned protest. This protest may disrupt the ongoing 2010/2011 second semester examinations in LASU. What are you thinking?

    It is not a wise decision to increase tuition at LASU. Increasing the tuition will only deprive many students from obtaining an education. An education is a necessity and all students should be given the opportunity to achieve. Students continue to lift your voices against injustice!

    They should definitely protest this attempt to take away education from the youth of Nigeria. its obviously an attack on the poor because those who are struggling won’t be able to afford these price increases! This is wrong! Protesting is an important way to demand equality and fight injustices. I am so happy that my people are seeing this and coming up with peaceful ways to fight for their justice!
