Nigeria has crude oil but import refined oil because the Nigerian federal government fail to operate refineries.

  • Fuel price in oil producing Venezuela cost 10 Naira per gallon.
  • Fuel price in Iran cost 48 Naira per gallon.
  • Fuel price in Saudi Arabia cost 70 Naira per gallon.
  • Fuel price in Nigeria currently cost 250 Naira per gallon.
  • Fuel price in Nigeria is projected to increase to 600 Naira per gallon, if fuel subsidies are removed by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
